In the rarefied field of golf landscape artists, Josh Smith is the next painter to know. His fine works are infused with depth, movement and texture and are uniquely identified by his mastery of perspective through an in-depth knowledge of course creation and natural design. Smith's original oil works expertly depict iconic courses like Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes and Royal County Down, and they are now available in special limited edition fine art giclée prints and special limited edition lithographs. Josh has always been drawn to golf. The Portland, Oregon native was a leader on his high school and Saint Mary's College golf teams. After college, where he earned a degree in business, he spent some six years traveling up and down the windswept West Coast, working as a superintendent and helping to carve and shape courses in construction work. It was then that Josh began to "see" golf courses in a whole new way. His appreciation for the game of golf, combined with his eye for form, contour and natural beauty, released a passion to paint.

My paintings are a labor of love. In them I aim to marry my love of golf's great landmarks and my passion for the timeless beauty of nature. The excitement for me in painting a golfing landscape is to show its particular architectural genius and how well it sits within its natural setting. In doing so, placing a time stamp on this particular spot that will last forever unchanged.
